Privacy notice

In compliance with Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP), here's how we handle your data when you shop or browse this site.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Control Dies Lux S.A. de C.V. ("ControlLux"), with its place of business in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, Mexico, is responsible for the use and protection of your personal data. For anything related to privacy, write to us at proyectos@controllux.com.mx.

2. Personal data we collect

  • Identification and contact: name, last name, email, phone.
  • Billing: tax ID (RFC), legal name, tax regime, tax address, CFDI usage (when you request an invoice).
  • Delivery: physical address, postal code, access instructions, on-site contact.
  • Payment: payment data is processed directly by PayPal under its own privacy notice. ControlLux does not store card numbers or your PayPal account credentials.
  • Browsing: IP address, browser type, pages visited, products viewed, time on site.

3. Why we use your data

We use your data to:

  • Process your order (charge, invoice, ship).
  • Answer questions, and handle warranties and returns.
  • Meet tax and legal obligations (CFDIs, accounting records).
  • Improve the site experience (analyze browsing behavior, optimize the catalog).

If you gave us explicit consent, we may also:

  • Send you communications about new products, offers and news.
  • Invite you to loyalty programs or events.

You can opt out of these secondary purposes at any time.

4. Data transfers

To run the site we share strictly necessary data with third parties, each governed by its own privacy policy:

  • PayPal, to authorize and settle payment.
  • Shipping carriers (Estafeta, FedEx, DHL or another that applies) with your name, phone and address to deliver the product.
  • Tax-stamping provider (a PAC authorized by Mexico's SAT) to issue your CFDI.
  • Web analytics services, when enabled.

We do not sell or share your information with third parties for commercial purposes unrelated to your purchase.

5. Your ARCO rights

At any time you can exercise your rights to Access, Rectify, Cancel and Object ("ARCO") to the use of your data. To do so, write to us at proyectos@controllux.com.mx with:

  • Your full name and a contact email or phone number.
  • A current official ID (passport or similar) as a scan or photo.
  • A clear description of the right you're exercising and, if applicable, the specific data it concerns.

We respond within a maximum of 20 business days.

6. Withdrawing consent

You can withdraw any consent you've given for the use of your data at any time, except where retention is required by law (e.g. tax records that Mexico's SAT requires us to keep for 5 years).

7. Cookies and similar technologies

This site uses cookies to:

  • Keep your shopping cart active between sessions.
  • Remember your preferences (language, region).
  • Analyze aggregate browsing behavior (to improve the site).

You can disable cookies from your browser settings, but some features (cart, checkout) may stop working correctly.

8. Data security

We apply reasonable administrative, technical and physical measures to protect your information (TLS encryption on the site, restricted access, backups). Even so, no system is 100% unbreakable; we encourage you to use strong passwords and never share your login details.

9. Changes to this notice

If we change this privacy notice, we'll publish the updated version on this same page with the date of the new version. We recommend checking it periodically.
